Welcome to Sunny OT!
We are a paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children and families across the Sunraysia region. Our mission is to provide flexible, personalised, and neuro-affirming care that empowers children to grow, learn, and participate with confidence. 

What is Paediatric Occupational Therapy?

 Paediatric OT is all about helping children develop the skills they need for everyday life - at home, school, and in the community. For children, “occupations” include playing, learning, building friendships, communicating, exploring, and becoming more independent.

We support children with areas such as:

• Fine motor skills (writing, drawing, using tools)
• Gross motor skills (coordination, balance, core strength)
• Sensory processing
• Emotional regulation and coping skills
• Play and social interaction
• Self-care skills (dressing, feeding, toileting, organisation)
• Executive functioning (planning, memory, attention, transitions)

Our goal is to help each child participate meaningfully in their world - and to help families feel supported, confident, and informed along the way. 

Our Approach

We believe that parents are the most important people in a child’s development, and that progress is strongest when we work together. Parent support, education, and collaboration sit at the heart of everything we do.

We take a holistic and neuro-affirming approach, recognising that every brain is beautifully different. All strategies are tailored to your child’s needs, interests, strengths, and sensory profile. We use evidence-based interventions that are practical, meaningful, and designed to fit into real family life.

Our therapy is flexible - we can support children in their homes, schools, the community, or within the amazing clinic - Bright Futures in Irymple.
